Bed Bugs
Bed bugs are small insects that cause terrible bites and live in cracks and crevices in and around your bed and mattress. They love to feed on blood to grow and mainly love to feed off you and your pets at night while sleeping.
What are the symptoms of bed bugs?
Bed bug bites can cause irritations such as red, itchy spots that are often found on ankles, legs, arms and the torso. Unfortunately for some people the bites can also become infected. Bed Bugs can also trigger and inflame allergies.
Some of the other signs of infestation are:
• Brown or blood spots on your mattress. These are bed bug faeces.

Dust Mites and Allergens
Dust mites are impossible to see and can trigger allergic reactions such as eczema and asthma. They feed off dead skin cells, dust and other microscopic food sources so your bed is the perfect breeding ground for them to make their home and feed.
As with dust mites, dust, fur, dander, and other allergens can accumulate in your bedding and mattresses, triggering allergies like eczema, asthma and hay fever.
How can dust mites affect your health?
The allergen in dust mites is present in both dust mites as well as in their droppings and discarded skin cases. Allergens can trigger symptoms in eczema resulting in inflammation and itching as well as asthma and other allergies.

Liquid spills, spots and stains
Liquid spills such as wine, coffee and other liquids without a mattress protector will sink into your mattress and cause discolouration and stains. In some cases the stains may be lifted or lightened but although the mattress area will be cleaned and liquid extracted sometimes the stain is permanently set and cannot removed.
Spot removal and stain removal are two very different things. Spots can normally be removed during deep cleaning. Stains and discolourations are substances that have altered the dye or colour of the fabric. Stains will not come out during normal cleaning efforts and may be more permanent. Our technician will assess and advise. TIP It is best to clean a spill as soon as possible. Blot with paper towel and call us.

Chances are that if you have children or pets there may be the occasional bedwetting accident on your mattress. If urine is not removed in a timely manner it will sink into the mattress causing odours and stains which can damage the mattress fibres. The earlier the urine stain is cleaned the higher the chance you will be able to effectively have it removed.
SleepClean will treat the urine by using a natural enzyme cleaner that will break down the odour causing crystals followed by a deep clean,
disinfection and will sanitise to finish the clean.
